What is in your hand? Recall that?

Do you remember that phrase in our series in Exodus with Moses where we were encouraged to see what was in our own hands that God might want to use in service of others? Well, this might be the answer to that particular prayer! We are approaching the point where we are able to look to recruit and train a team of volunteers to serve in the Cafe in the Annex. Is this where God might be looking to use you and have you serve in early 2022?

So, what are we looking for? We are looking for people who share the vision behind the cafe namely to provide a great place of welcome for all, a safe space for the community to come, drink great coffee (and tea and other beverages), and eat delicious food all wrapped up in loving and exceptional service! A place where people can meet friends, share stories, an alternative workplace to home or just have some company outside of their own four walls regardless of age and stage of life. A place where all receive a loving welcome and acceptance. A place where people want to come back to time and again not just because of the excellent coffee and delicious food but also because there is such a sense of the fragrance of Jesus as it were in the place that they are irresistibly drawn back, curious to know more. Can you be Jesus' hands and feet for a regular number of hours each and every week and be part of this really exciting ministry?

We will provide any necessary training in food hygiene, health and safety, safeguarding etc, and supervision to ensure that you enjoy volunteering here as much as we trust our customers will enjoy coming! You will be part of a great volunteer team led by the coffee shop manager. We believe in team, that God didn't make us for isolation, but created us to be family so we expect it will be a fun and rewarding place to serve!

To find out more please contact julie@stph.org.uk in the first instance who will be more than happy to chat with you about this exciting way to serve our community and further realise our vision of loving God, growing family, and increasing hope in this great new community development in this corner of Kent!
